Bristol Festival of Ideas, 17 November 2016
The Bristol Festival of Ideasencourages public debate and discussion about contemporary issues through series of events held in the city.
I was invited to join Torsten Bell (Director of the Resolution Foundation), Anthony Painter (Director of Action and Research at the RSA), and Nick Pearce (Professor of Public Policy at Bath University and Director of the Institute for Policy Research), and moderator Jonathan Derbyshire, for a dialogue on the question “Should the government give everybody in the country a minimum income, regardless of their circumstances?” The debate brought in more than 300 ticketed guests, and was broadcast as a podcaston the Festival of Ideas website.
